Our Story

Maison Loulou began while I was pregnant with my daughter.

My mum had lovingly kept the hand-smocked pieces my nanna had made for me as a baby. Seeing them again decades later, beautifully made, carefully kept and ready to be worn by another generation felt incredibly special.

I began searching for pieces with that same sense of craftsmanship and nostalgia, but found it difficult to find the beautiful, traditional smocking and hand-finished details I remembered.

And so, Maison Loulou was born.

Inspired by the pieces made for me by my nanna, each collection celebrates the beauty of traditional hand-smocking and embroidery, reimagined for little ones today.

Pieces to be worn and loved now, carefully kept, and one day passed down.

Made to be treasured, from one generation to the next.
